• This is a certificate showing the energy efficiency performance of your home. Ie How much energy is used to heat and light the building and the heat loss through the walls, windows, roof etc.

A1(The best and most energy efficient.)       To      G.(The least energy efficient)

The steps to Energy Rate your home or building are as follows,

1. Assesment of home or building drawings by one of our qualified assessors.
2. Issue of provisional or full Energy Rating Certificate.(BER)
3. Issue of detailed report on BER certificate.
4. Issue of advisory report.
   
   
   

• What is a provisional BER certificate?

• A provisional BER certificate is required if you are selling any dwellings from plans. This certificate must be provided to the buyer. It is based on pre-construction plans. This certificate is valid for two years and allows for the sale of property from plans.
  
  

• What is a full BER certificate?

• A full BER certificate is required if you are selling a completed house. It is accompanied by an advisory report. This report takes into account any changes made during construction related to plans,  Specifications or any data through which the provisional BER was calculated. This certificate is valid for 10 years.
   

• How much does a BER certificate cost?

• Phoenix Energy Consultants will charge from €300.00 plus vat for a BER certificate. N.B. Cost may vary depending on whether the building is new or already existing, and according to the complexity and size.
