BER CERTIFICATE. 

  • How is my home rated?

  • Phoenix Energy Consultants will rate your home or building in accordance with the criteria set out by S.E.I.(Sustainable Energy Ireland.)  S.E.I. is the national body set up by the Government in 2002 as Irelands national energy agency.
 
  • Who needs a BER certificate?

  • New dwellings: The regulations apply to new dwellings for which planning permission was applied on or after January 1st 2007.Transitional BER certificate exemptions will apply to new dwellings for which Planning permission is applied on or before December 31st 2006,where the new dwellings involved are substantially completed on or before June 30th 2008.
  • New non-domestic buildings: the regulations apply to new dwellings for which planning permission was applied on or after July 1st 2008.Transitional BER  certificate exemptions will apply to new non-domestic buildings for which planning permission was applied for on or before June 30th 2008 provided the new non domestic buildings involved are substantially completed by June 30th 2010.
  • Existing buildings:  Dwellings and other buildings when offered for sale or letting on or after January1st 2009.

  • How much does a BER certificate cost?

  • Phoenix Energy Consultants will charge from €300.00 plus vat for a BER certificate. N.B. Cost may vary depending on whether the building is new or already existing, and according to the complexity and size.
